HR training in Tagaytay

We came to the HR training at Tagaytay and stayed in The Lake Hotel in Tagaytay. The room I stayed had a beautiful view of the lake and volcano. We did some team building activities including zumba and Daniel and I had a presentation the next day.

A wonderful Sabbath day

Like every Sunday, we visit a different chapel and ward. Lapi ward got my attention because sister Clark was there to greet us with her companion. Then she was playing the piano and gave a talk in Tagalog. She looks so happy and her light truly shines. I took a photo to send to her mother. Our wonderful missionaries are truly angels walking this earth.

Will you still love me when I am 64?

Daniel is 64 today. That is a significant number of years for us, because we love the song "Will you Still love me, When I'm 64" by the Beatles. The staff at work made this day for him special. Thanks!

Having Christmas withdrawals

It's the middle of January and that means it's time to get all our Christmas decorations put away as much as I love them, they need to come down.

 Why can't we just keep celebrating Christmas all year long?

I am having some serious Christmas withdrawals and can't find the energy to take everything down and put away for another ten months.

Urdaneta groundbreaking with Elder Holland

January 16, 2018 is a day to remember and exciting for everyone in the Philippines to finally see the groundbreaking for the Urdaneta temple and especially because it happened while Elder Holland was visiting the Philippiens for ten days.

Devotional with Elder Holland

This was an unforgettable and beautiful day with elder Holland. Daniel was asked to speak and he did amazing as well. He spoke from the heart and brought people to tears when he told them of the blessing Elder Holland gave him when he had cancer.

The devotional was held at the big MTC multi-purpose room with all the employees and missionaries. We were asked to sit in the stand. Daniel conducted the meeting. After the devotional they had an area review with all the directors who report to Daniel.  I will always remember this special day.

Turning 59

Turning 59 sounds more like 95 to me. Am I really this old. Yikes! The good thing is that Daniel's birthday is in January too so we can always kill two birds with one stone.
