Our new home

July was a busy month for us. We sold two properties and purchased an apartment in The City Creek Regent Condominiums, the address is: 35 E. 100 South #1309 Salt Lake City, UT 84111. This unit belongs to the 13th ward same as the Allred's ward. That is our third investment in City Creek.

This reunion was to celebrate 10 years together as a blended family and it is the very first time we have been together as a family under one roof so it was long overdue.  Happy anniversary to us this year and eternity to come!

The Food

For the Reunion we asked people who were assigned to prepare a meal to send us their shopping list for us to buy the food and if purchased, to give us the receipt to get reimbursed and if they had dietary restrictions to let people know about them so there was plenty of food to go around at each meal for seconds and even thirds!

The activities

We asked Mandy, Sydney and Vale to plan a fun activity for us to do and they came up with breaking piñatas, a movie night and Bingo. They were so much fun!

Bear Lake was a good choice

We took a vote as a family to come to Bear Lake for our first family reunion and we are glad we came. The place we are staying is very specious, clean, new, and beautiful and that is a relief because when I made the reservation, we were going to be one of the first families staying in the home.

The realtor I spoke with told me that families can go boating, go on  a hike Limber Pine, rock climb the Logan Canyon, Road bike by the lake, visit  the Oregon Trail Center, explore the Minnetonka Cave, get out for the night to the play or simply spend the day chilling at the Rendezvous Beach or inside the home reading a book by the pool or playing games but that one must to do was to try the famous Bear Lake raspberry shakes, however, what is most important to me, is that we were there making memories even when doing nothing but talking and hope the cousins get to know each other better.

Checking in at the Inn

The day finally arrived to check in at The Legacy Beach in Bear Lake Inn.This 12.095 square foot home comes with 18 bedroom suites, 19 bathrooms that sleeps 70. The amenities include: A 2,500 square foot dining area snd family room in addition it comes with a butler's kitchen, game room. conference room, covered patio and fire pit which gives families a chance to have the entire clan in one place to enjoy time together.  Best 24th of July Ever!!!

Cousin time

One of the things I love about coming to Utah is the chance I get to visit extended family. Here we are enjoying the beautiful backyard in the home of Karla and Brent Alford.
