Christmas break

We went to Punta del Este between December 25 to December 29 and were able to visit with Daniel's   mom and brothers. This time Estela couldn't come. We rented a 3 bedroom condo through Airbnb large enough for Gabriel, Danae, Vale and us. The main purpose of this trip was to see Nela.

Devocional con los empleados

Today was the Christmas devotional. Each member of the area presidency and Daniel presided over one of the four devotionals. Elder De Hoyos stayed in Argentina, elder Bragg went to Paraguay, Elder Villar went to his beloved Chile and Daniel went to his homeland, Uruguay. The only thing is that I had asthma and had a bad cough which was not fun but somehow I managed to speak just fine by taking a lot of water.

Our first guests

Today I went to pick up Gave and Danae at the airport. They are the first guests at our home. They have not come back to Buenos Aires since they left 6 years ago so they plan to stay for a month. We went to all their favorite restaurants but the best food was at our home! Yum!

Thanksgiving in Utah

Daniel asked special permission to leave the area because he has something on his face that needed to be checked and we are so glad we did. I also needed to see my foot doctor. I also got a chance to go to the TOFW (Time out for women) which I did't even know they were having it until I saw a friends's Facebook post. That is what I call serendipity. We went to tithing settlement and saw Michael Marcheschi. He has not started to build his home yet. Paid our property taxes. It was thanksgiving which is not celebrated in Argentina so being there for that was the icing on the cake! Went on the black Friday special to buy things for our apartment like a vacuum and stuff for the apartment.  Bought gifts for Christmas. Saw Nacho, Anais, Matias and kids.  We needed other things from Costco to bring home. Went to see Layna play the violin and got all our Christmas cards sent! We also saw Mandy on her birthday which never happens because we are so far away. It only snow one day. What a blessed  vacation.
