Empanadas
First time making empanadas. On our P-Day we had gone to an Argentine restaurant. Empanada kitchen but we were not too impressed. We found out. that the one we had gone a few years ago, is not open anymore. It was located downtown San Diego so we went to find a latin store and found one a few blocks from whee we live. They had products from Ecuador, Argentina and Peru for the most part. Bought empanada dough to make empanadas and they were made with a chicken filing and ham and cheese, so delicious! Now, we know that whenever we crave empanadas that we can make them ourselves.

Anniversary #17
Happy 17th Anniversary to us!
We decided to go eat at an Italian restaurant, Cesarina.
We decided to go eat at an Italian restaurant, Cesarina.
The place was very close to the airport in a sketchy part of town but the food was good. No parking, only valet parking. They gave us the desert as a gift and that was the best part.

Tour to the Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala
We went on our field trip to the Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala that we do every six months with the Battalion. The two ladies, Janet and Trini that are so sweet to show us around and do the tours are fantastic. We went two days. This photos were taken on the first day we went. One thing that we find interesting is that in this ancient chapel, they have an image of Heavenly Father and below is Mary and Jesus. In the beginning of the Catholic Church it was typical to think of two personages, the Father and the Son. Interesting.
